At the Dr Tass cosmetic clinic in Melbourne, our cosmetic medical practitioners use dermal fillers in a variety of cosmetic treatments.
What are dermal fillers?
If you are looking to undergo a treatment that will help to slow down the look of the ageing process, there are many methods of treatments to choose from.
Dermal fillers have been around for many years. They are made to reduce and/or fill in wrinkles around the neck or face. Because each individual will have different needs, solutions are individually tailored to your needs.
In addition to the treatment of wrinkles, dermal filler injections can also be used to create volume and definition of the lips. Lip enhancement gives the impression that volume has been increased in the lip area.
How do dermal filler injections work?
Injectable dermal fillers are placed beneath the wrinkle and/or fold to fill in' or plump up' the depression. The areas most commonly treated with dermal fillers include nasolabial folds, marionette lines and vertical lip lines.
Injectable dermal fillers can also be used to treat the border of the upper and/or lower lip to enhance lip contour and definition. Lip volume can also be improved with treatment in the lip body to create more full lips.
How long do dermal fillers last?
Treatments usually last between 6 months and 2 years and normal activities can generally be resumed immediately following facial injections.
Are there any side effects to using dermal fillers?
The recovery time is relatively short and side effects are fairly rare. Some of the side effects can include a mild headache or tightness. Your Dr. Tass doctor will inform you of all possibilities at your consultation.
